Instructions
Brownies
- 1Heat butter and cocoa in small, heavy saucepan on low, stirring occasionally, until smooth.
- 2Beat eggs in medium bowl until frothy. Add next 4 ingredients and cocoa mixture. Stir well. Spread evenly in greased 8 x 8 inch (20 x 20 cm) pan.
- 3Bake in 350°F (175°C) oven for 25 to 30 minutes, until edges show signs of pulling away from sides of pan and wooden pick inserted in centre comes out moist but not wet with batter. Do not overbake. Cool slightly.
Icing
- 1Beat all 4 ingredients in medium bowl until smooth, adding more coffee or icing sugar as necessary until spreading consistency. Spread evenly over warm brownie layer. Cuts into 25 squares.
